A permanent, immersive gaming environment. An intensely high energy presentation, clashes of pan-asian and tech noir aesthetics, and a distinctly meta take on the concept of Bingo. Developed as the first of a new IP with State Of Play.

Tasked with re-imagining Bingo, we set out to create a responsive, interconnected environment immersing the audience in an energetic presentation of fully integrated lighting, LED and video surfaces, controllable from a single touch interface by the show controller.

Layers of glass overlay LED surfaces, creating a depth in, around and behind the stage.

The concept's ambition was to seamlessly fuse live game play with an immersive and responsive environment, making every second feel purposeful and driven, and helping maintain a frenetic atmosphere.

Our team and partners designed the experience, physical show infrastructure and software systems that drive the show and directed the content, lighting and sound design for the initial launch.

Planned as the first iteration of the concept, a lot of time was invested in planning and developing the control infrastructure, with partners Quander and Artists & Engineers.

This included gaining an understanding of random number generation, and building the Bingo logic engine that interfaced with the media server to drive the video and lighting systems.

All this was then given an intuitive control wrapper allowing a single operator to control the entire environment and define the ebbs and flows of the game through logic branches and various tension points.

This staging concept maps a potential route to different kinds of performance and entertainment platforms, and considers how these types of experiential environments could cater to a new audience of people hungry for new social experiences, and how the high street can adapt to changing needs and tastes in the future.

We're extremely excited about how this concept can develop, and how we can further evolve the interior concept to integrate even more tightly with the media surfaces and elevate the concept of Bingo even further.
